Aion: Asmodae Beginners Power Leveling Guide – Part 1 of 3
- Dec 24, 2009

Alright, here we are with the beginners Aion leveling guide for the Asmodian faction of the game. This will hopefully get you started and able to choose a class as quickly as possible.

If instead you want a PDF file with detailed information about every step, I recommend downloading the free Aion leveling guide available over at KFGuides

Let’s go.Entering the game

You start the game in the Aldelle Basin, located in the far east region of the map. In front of you will be an non player character (NPC) with a blue arrow above his head. Talk to him and he will direct you to towards another character a little further away.

Once you’ve traveled there, talk to him to receive your first quest; to kill 4 Spriggs. Once you’re done with the task, talk to him again. Now he will send you to a camp located north west of your current position.

On your way there, make sure you collect Azpha plants that grow along the way (you do this by right clicking) This will raise your gathering skill level.

When you get to the camp, talk to the NPC’s there. One of them will give you the next two quests. The first is to gather Sprigg Fruit, which can be found to the north. The second quest is also about gathering, but this time it’s Glowing Spheres, and they are dropped by Hill Sparkies and Highland Sparkles (also found to the north).

Return and talk to the NPC each time you finish a quest to get the next one. Once you’re done, continue on south west of the camp until you come upon..

Aldelle Village

Note: A simple way to keep up do date with all the quests you pick up is to press “J” by default, which brings up the Quest menu.

As you enter the village your Quest menu will show that you got a Campaign quest. These are quests related to the game’s storyline. The NPCs related to them have a yellow arrow assigned to them (the normal ones have a blue arrow).

Besides picking up quests from NPC’s, here are some other things you should do:

Speak with the Soul Healer located near the entrance of the village and bind to the stone next to her by right clicking it. This will allow you to quickly travel to this location later.

Next, Find your Class Trainer and buy all the skill books that you can and right click them in your inventory to learn them. To use them, just drag them to your quickbar.

The third thing you should do is pay a visit to the Weapon, Armor, and general item dealers of the town. You probably won’t afford anything right now, but you can sell misc. items for Kinah as well. (these are items dropped by mobs you kill)

After picking up all the quests and completing the above list of things to do, head west of the village. There on the shore you’ll find a fisherman that also has a quest for you.

When you’re done with all the quests and follow ups, keep heading south on the path to the left into the valley.

The Completed Guilds of Aion Title Guides
- Dec 24, 2009

Aion online is a ground breaking game in many ways, and one of the new ideas you can find while playing it that affects your stats, is your Titles. In most games, Titles are comparable to medals. They show your character’s accomplishments throughout the game, and give you a way to brag to your friends about them. But that’s about all that they do. In Aion on the other hand, your Titles actually give you different kinds of buffs, making you more motivated to complete quests and learn about the game instead of just grinding your way through the levels.

Depending on your class and faction, what Titles you’ll want to use may vary. A Ranger might want to improve his Accuracy and Defense, while a Gladiator would be more interested in buffs related to melee battle. The factions don’t have the exact same Titles either, and the levels and quests required to achieve them differ as well.

Below we’re providing you with a list of the different Titles available for the Asmodian and Elysian factions of the game, how to acheive them, and the different buffs that come along with them. We won’t tell you exactly how to use your Titles for the different classes, as there’s bound to be many unique situations that require slight tweaking of buffs for that specific time.

The Latest Guilds of Aion---Chanter
- Dec 24, 2009

In this Aion guide, we’ll be the guilds to the Chanter class of the game Aion.

The Chanter is mainly seen as one of the healing and buffing classes in Aion, but it’s also one of the most flexible. When you choose to play this class, you’ll have access to all sorts of skills, ranging from the offensive de-buffing stun attacks to the defensive heal over time spells.

When it comes to being an effective Healer, the Cleric might be one step ahead, but Chanters can still be a very effective one too. The difference is that it can cost you more mana, time, and effort.

The upside to this is that you also have the ability to weaken your enemies and be a valuable asset in the actual fight as well, even stepping in as a tank from time to time.

If you happen to play in a group including a Cleric, make sure you have your roles straight before engaging in a battle. Not all skills stack, and if both of you are trying to play the same role in the group it could lead to an unnecessary waste of MP and a less efficient battle strategy.

In such a situation, having the Cleric be the healer and you the buff-meister might not be such a bad idea.

Just like your previously mentioned cousin, as a Chanter you have the ability to heal yourself, which means you won’t be as reliant on Healing Potions and frequent resting stops as other classes might be. You also have access to multiple buffing skills to keep you alive and kicking for a long time.

Add to that the ability to equip high defense Chain gear, and you’ve got a character that can hold his own and take some damage without keeling over (although not nearly as much as a Templar, but more than a Sorcerer or Spiritmaster).

The negative side to the Chanter class is that not all of your skills can be used from afar, meaning you need to be up close and personal with the enemy from time to time.

Also, certain skills have a longer casting time, so you’ll have to stay alert or you might miss out on healing your allies in time, or possibly leaving yourself vulnerable to attack.

Your healing spells aren’t as powerful as the Cleric’s either, but still good enough to be useful.

Overall, the Chanter class suits the person who likes to be a supportive player, but also wants to step into the ring and throw some punches now and then. While Chanters do work well while soloing, they are definitely best suited as a powerful ally in a team.

Kiting Guilds as a Sorcerer in Aion online
- Dec 24, 2009

This Aion guide we’ll be focusing on some good strategies for kiting.

The first thing you need to do if you want to solo Elites effectively is to learn how to keep them at a distance, and at the same time not lose too much momentum. To accomplish this, you can use your DOTs to maintain aggro at all times, and CCs to slow the mob down and keep it at a perfect distance.

Here’s a trick for you that I learned about recently. If you go to the options menu, there should be a box under Combat info called “Show distance to target”. Click it and press the Apply button to turn it on. This will make it a lot easier for you to kite, by not having to keep the mob in your sight all the time while you move around, yet not risking getting too far away so your spells become ineffective.

Another important aspect to good kiting is to find a wide open area without too many mobs in it. This will allow you to move around more freely and not have to worry about drawing aggro from more than one monster at a time. This is crucial when dealing with Elite mobs, especially for a Sorcerer because of your unavoidably low defensive stats.

In some areas, like the Tursin Garrison, there will be so called patrol mobs that alert the other monsters to your presence. You’ll want to avoid these at all costs, or you might find that you’ve got an entire camp on your tail.

Next is how to use your skills the best. Whenever your damage type spells are on cooldown, make sure to use your Crowd Control to stop the mob in its tracks and allow yourself some recovery time. This goes both for the cooldown as well as using Absorb Energy, Healing potions and Mana potions to stay fit for fight throughout. Never let your health or mana dwindle too low, or you could end up in some tricky situations that could’ve otherwise been easily avoided.

Examples of CC spells would be Sleep, Ice chain, or Curse of Roots.
